I’m old enough to remember when it was called “Personnel” and the main job was to keep employee records up to date.
They’re now called “HR Weenies” for a reason.

In looking at the employee statistics by ethnicity for Twitter employees, 30.8% of them are ‘Asian.’ To me, that’s code for Indian (not Nataive American Indians).

We had a construction company where our men had to lift heavy equipment. So one day a fat black woman showed up from the city demanding to know how many women we had in our crew and were we meeting what they determined we should have. I took her out to the shop and pointed at some equipment and said “you need to pick that up”. She was shocked and said “I”M NOT GOING TO PICK THAT UP” - well she couldn’t have done it anyway. So that was the last I heard from that department.
I have a theory about HR People.
Remember High School ? All the cliques ? The Jocks and the Cheerleaders were on the top tier. Majorettes and Band Girls were below the Cheerleaders. And Pom-pom girls were under those.
HR types are invariably former Pom-pom girls. . . 😜😜😜
