Donald Trump – Ron DeSantis 2024: Is It Possible?

Is A Trump-DeSantis Ticket Possible At This Point: Popular Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been rumored to be considering a 2024 presidential run for some time now, but with the genuine possibility of a third Trump campaign lingering, it’s unclear whether DeSantis is taking the idea seriously?

DeSantis is second only to Trump when it comes to smear campaigns from Democrats and the press, making the two men seem like a perfect coupling for some.

With the January 6 investigation still ongoing and the recent FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago, however, the Florida governor has a lot to think about over the coming year or so until primary campaigning really kicks off.

I say this should happen. Trump can only have one more term and I would love to see the MAGA agenda continue forward instead of Romney and gang eventually push it out. They would be amazing. Can ego be pushed aside?

Florida would be better served with DeSantis as governor than cooling his heels as VP.

While not absolutely necessary, Trump would be wise to register to vote in NJ before announcing.

Trump / DeSantis or Trump / Flynn.

NO RINO “insurance policies” for VP anymore like Judas Pence who undermined the admin. from within.

They can’t both reside in the same state.

They could run together and it would be a dream ticket, however that would be writing off Florida’s electoral college votes. Article II states: “The electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves.”

It’ll have to be someone who’s been though it and back again. DeSantis has not. Look at pence. Fat and happy. That’s not normal for a trump loyalist

“They can’t both reside in the same state.”

I’m pretty sure this is more of a tradition or strategy. I’m pretty sure it’s not in the Constitution, it may be a party policy.

The idea is to pick the VP from a state that has influence in areas or with sectors of the population where the Presidential campaign is not very strong.

I think they technically can reside in the same state, but there is a disadvantage should the EC vote come out to a 269-269 tie and the House of Representatives decides the election.

I agree that DeSantis would be better off in FL. HOWEVER the heads that would be exploding with this ticket I have to admit I would LOVE to be able to watch that for 18 months! OMG can you imagine the media would be apoplectic LOL, LOL!!

I think it can happen, although the alpha male stuff has to be clearly dealt with before hand. DeSantis can give his little Kids a nice, pretty normal life as VP. By the time he is President they will easily fit into a Sidwell friends situation, have real friends and social life. If they work out REAL important issues for him to take on, like getting the oil production back on fire, public private infrastructure projects, homeless solutions, etc., it would be a miracle for the country and POTUS could focus on international issues, healing our on the brink societal issues. Well...I can dream can’t I...
