I've had a clean driving record for close to 30 years. Every few years a cop will latch on and give me a driving test which I have passed. I thought I would report on today's test. It is clear in my mind I was clearly getting stalked. After the traffic light changed to green, the police car was slow to respond to the traffic light and didn't keep up with traffic flows. The question I have are police officers immune from distracted driving laws?
I assume so since they all have computers in their cars.
Operating a computer while driving is very much distracting
Dad had an Opel and similar happened to me. New snow in Minnesota and I was heading home from a friends house (sober) but screwing around on the fresh snow on the side streets late at night. Sliding around corners, etc.
He followed me for quite awhile and of course I sped up as I thought it was some other kids out screwing around.
He let me go.
Right. ‘Cuz pandering is SSSOOO MAGA.
The joke about the cop that got tired of writing up bad tickets he was going to give a good driver an award. He followed one guy for 5 minutes and everything was perfect!
He pulled him over to give him some gift cards.
“Excuse me sir - but your driving is perfect! Unbelievable in fact!”
“Wellzz - when youse drunk as I are yas gots to be careful!”
Are you a woman whose pronouns are she/her, sitting at a table wearing a blue suit? You sure sound like her! LOL
Excellent advice! To which I can only add, be extra vigilant about safe, legal driving in the last week of every month, or whenever your LEOs have to turn in their quota.
Back in the day when traffic cops were human, my rule of thumb was that they might check you out but it would require two infractions before they would issue a ticket:
speeding counted as one;
a driver error, such as failing to signal, while speeding would count as a second - or if you were unlucky it could be something as basic as the cop getting out of the wrong side of the bed that morning, that was a chance you had to accept.
But it never let me down.
Never had a cop latch on and give me a driving test. Did he use some sort of harpoon to latch on to your vehicle? Did the driving test include parallel parking?
I average about 8K miles per year with my manual transmission car. My Car dealer's service department told me I needed expensive clutch work some years ago. I ignored them and ~40K miles later the manual transmission still works fine..
I don’t call a BACK THE BLUE bumper sticker pandering. Police are under duress from grizzly murders and accidents, increased robberies, as well as mortal danger from violent, cop-hating criminals.
They need encouragement from those who support them.
That was the point of my vanity post...
Most of the ones I see drive very fast and don’t bother to use blinkers.
Maybe you have a defective rear view mirror and possibly side view mirrors..
” Every year, the outlaws swing out of the trees, rob the merchants and ride back to Washington D.C. for a glorious feast over the stolen goods, which they may in some small way share with a few peasants, to secure their support.

This is the same thing on a smaller scale.
Vice Presidential material...
I’ve been pulled over for excessive acceleration.
No ticket though.
no tickets here either...
just a few questions of what’s under the hood...
