> Better lyrics.

Listen carefully:
Oh, Nobody told me what you thought
Nobody told me what to say,
Heroin showed you where to turn
Told you where to run away.

Nobody told you where to hide
Nobody told you what to say,
Heroin showed you where to turn
Showed you where to run away.

There’s an incredible number of men suffering in silence, separated from their kid and abused by family court.

They don’t have big money like Depp to show people they’ve been wrongly accused

At my age it is difficult to wax nostalgic over 90’s music. Even though this purports to have a Christian theme - I assume as much of Hillsong; could be wrong - the tone is negatively self indulgent to the point of hopelessness. It’s a kind of heavy pajama boy music, chock full of deep angst that was not so prevelant in proor decades. The performance, production, arrangement, and talent are outstanding. It is not as if I would reject it altogether. Thanks for posting.

Like i said, hits close to home. For me its a lesson i survived. After severing my spinal cord I fell deep into despair. Only by the grace of God am I alive.

Its good to be reminded. Those who fail to remember the past are doomed to repeat it.

In hindsight I should have said “meaningful lyrics “.

Sometimes my mind and my typing don’t mean to others what it means in my thoughts.

Sorry to hear about your injury. I pray that God gives you strength. I have found that suffering gives life a deeper sense of meaning. Jon Voight asked why it is so hard and God answered him, “it’s supposed to be hard.” The Good Lord is preparing us for something absolutely wonderful. But we must endure and run the race to win, always remembering to be kind to others and to have peace, knowing that our faith is not in vain. Jesus knew suffering, beyond our comprehension. But he endured to the end, even death on a cross, for us.

I appreciate these songs of suffering and rejection. Creep by STP is another one. Tolstoy said that time, space and all the matter in the universe cannot give meaning to life, only the irrational knowledge of faith can do that.
