Frankly, Russia has it exactly correct
What consenting adults do in privacy is not the state’s business, nor even within the control of the state.
But homosexuality and its counter-culture confederates should not be promoted, especially not with government subsidy or protection.

Revulsion and rejection of depravity do not need religion.

I found that those who hate homos more are not religious people but the common working man. Truck drivers especially hate them as they infest many of the rest stops on the interstates.
I know of several rest stops that have been closed and bulldozed. The State transportation board says it is because of rampant “crime”. But others say they were also infested at night by homos.
It’s the Leftist\Progressive\Elitist way of deluding themselves you’re inferior. Your are “in fear” of something and they are not! They now feel better about themselves.
I think you have the best take on it. If you are NOT revulsed by the behavior, there is a little bit wrong with you. If you do not recoil from someone suddenly vomiting next to you, I would say the same. It is a survival instinct.
In the case of vomiting, not being attracted to it as a dog is, cuts down on the spread of disease. The same can be said of sodomy. It causes and is a disease, itself. Today, we are watching its R0 spiral out of control because we have allowed our aversion to it to be desensitized.

True (not trendy) homosexuals represent a very small portion of a population but in our culture they practically dominate influence in arts, media and entertainment. They use this dominance to generate a myth that this biological aberration is "normal".
They use this myth to recruit members to their culture. The popular term now is "grooming". This is done by socially bombarding the targeted recruit groups with a distorted view of the gay culture i.e. they are funny, quirky, happy and...harmless .
The actual old fashioned science indicates they have a high suicide rate, a high disease rate and are very vindictive towards those who oppose their attempts at social influencing. That vindictiveness extends to legal, social and financial ruination of people they don't like.
That is why they call me homophobic.
But liberals argue that the planet needs to stop reproducing. And thus also support murder of the unborn.
They want is gone, never themselves.
It serves no Purpose or reason other then to use to degrade humanity and leads to ultimately destruction

“Homophobia” is phony propaganda word. I suspect that the overwhelming portion of people who disapprove of homosexual acts are not in any way living in “fear” of homosexuals. Just because you’re disgusted by the concept of anal sodomy or one dude orally copulating another dude doesn’t mean that you quake in fear when a homosexual gets on the bus or walks by you on the street. In fact the opposite is likely true. No one is trembling in fear that gangs of gays are roaming around with switchblades itching to mug you.
Is there a phobia to describe people who are sick and tired of HOMO, HOMO, HOMO, SEX, SEX, SEX, GROOMING, LESBIAN, TRANNY, TRANNY, TRANNY, PRIDE, PRIDE, PRIDE etc etc etc being smashed into our faces 24x7?
I’m not afraid of em. I’ve had to work with em, interface with em and some of our immediate family are homos.
I’m definitely NOT a proponent of their choices. I find it...well...disgusting. I know God loves em just as much as He loves anyone else, but He hates their sin. He wants to them to repent and come to Him.
What I do fear is what they’re foistering upon our society, our culture, children and grandchildren. I could care less what they do behind closed bedroom doors...none of my business, but don’t shove your satanic-inspired perversion down my throat or that of my children and grandchildren. It is the homos that must suffer the consequences of their actions...not me, not you, nor society...they, themselves alone, are responsible for the consequences of their actions.
IMHO, society should NEVER have let em come “out of the closet” to begin with.

Buying into that demonic lie was the beginning of the destruction of a nation as it has been throughout history. Look where we are now, today.
