A Texas mother was fatally shot on Tuesday at a Killeen cemetery while visiting her recently deceased son’s grave to drop flowers for his first birthday in heaven, the woman’s husband told police.
The 52-year-old mother, Yolanda N’Gaojia, was shot and killed around 5 in the evening at the Calvary Baptist Church Garden of Memories Cemetery in Killeen. A second victim was also injured in the shooting but was said to be in stable condition, according to the police.
Killeen Police called the shooting “an isolated incident” and said it is being investigated as a murder. Nevertheless, Police have not yet released the identities of the victims.
Gang related, I’ll bet.

Killeen is the freakin armpit of Texas. Nothing good ever comes from “thug-central”. How does a mother, visiting her dead child at a cemetery get shot and it’s an isolated incident. There’s a lot more to this.

Killeen is one of the few TX cities I have never visited.
Thank your lucky stars for that. It’s off the beaten path. You have to go there to get there.
I have to disagree with you. Harris county is the armpit of Texas. Kileen is the toe jam of Texas. Oh hell...what’s the difference?
Killeen and Copperas Cove are the two cities outside of FT Hood, TX. The road out of the back gate of Ft Hood runs right through Killeen and is the location of massage parlors, Korean comfort bars, pawn shops and rim dealers.
This is the wretched hive of scum and villainy for Texas. No Joke.
I suspect that when all the facts are known there will be far less sympathy. Not trying to be heartless, just have seen this film before.
That was my thought: the rival gang was “aiming” to commemorate his birthday in their own way.
The massage parlors are all gone, as are the Korean comfort bars. There are still a good number of pawnshops, but, hey, businesses go where the business is.
I remember Luby's cafeteria (mass shooting) was just outside the gate. That was the last shooting the media ever properly covered.
