Last June, my granddaughter Amanda was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Of course, we were devastated.
Amanda was a newlywed with her whole life ahead of her.
We asked for your prayers and you stepped up to pray for and support my family.
Well, our prayers were answered yesterday when Amanda was notified that her latest test results showed her to be cancer-free.
Thank you all for your prayers and the love you showed us.

Great strides have been made in the past generation as far as cancer treatment (as an oncologist told me).
I lost two family members last year to this hideous disease.
Never, ever let your guard down, my husband’s oncologist told me cancer patients are never “cured” they are in perpetual “remission” from cancer.
Hopefully, this will be the last your granddaughter ever has to deal with cancer.

Just a true story of encouragement. My daughter was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma around 2005. She was only a freshmen in college. Melanoma if you don’t know is quite deadly if past stage 1. She went through a year of hell with 2 operations and a 12 month regime of interferon (basically you have non-stop flu symptoms).
Today she has been cancer free for …12 (17 if you count the 5 years to be considered free) years? She has 2 of my grand boys Liam-6, Cameron-4. We were blessed, even though I’ve had some cards dealt to me that were unusually bad luck this has done a lot to even out the score.
Hope is real.

It was Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, not non Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I diagnosed your grand daughter right here on FR even before a formal diagnosis came in. I also said she would be up and about in no time as it’s a highly curable disease. Congratulations to her for beating it. And you’re welcome.

I dont know what her diet was before this but avoid all of that
fresh meet and veggies and good oils (paleo- mediteranean diet) NO WHEAT OF ANY FORM!!!!!
