"Prognosticators lay out most competitive races following Glenn Youngkin’s big Virginia win

After a big win in blue Virginia and near-upset in bluer New Jersey, Republicans are hoping for a red wave in governor's races for 2022 – looking at potential pickups mainly in Midwestern states.

President Biden has a low approval rating, and historically a president’s party takes a beating in midterm elections. But Republicans are facing the departure of two incumbent governors in blue states, while multiple incumbents are facing primaries as former President Trump also will likely play a big role in the midterm election.

One template to consider is Republican Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin’s Virginia win, even though Biden won the state decisively in 2020, said Miles Coleman, an associate editor for the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia, which ranks political contests. ..."

Exactly. But paraphrasing Obama on Biden, never underestimate the GOP establishment's ability to f*** it up.

Sure wish we had a Republican Party here in Illinois. Oh, and honest elections, too.

I want to see Rebecca Kleefisch beat Mrs. Tony Evers in Wisconsin! I want to see anyone beat Mrs. Tony Evers in Wisconsin. He's an insult, and I don't even live there (anymore).

Ronald Reagan won Illinois (and 48 other states) in 1984. What was undone can be redone, or done again.

I wish I could be as optimistic as you. But Illinois is a lost cause.

The governor’s races in Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania are critical. All 5 have Republican legislatures. All 5 are closely contested states and in all 5 the Governor is all that stands between real election integrity laws with teeth and a repeat of the Steal. Georgia did enact an election integrity law but it was watered down heavily. Its probably not enough. The others so far haven’t done anything to stop the cheating thanks to Democrat governors and another RINO in the case of Arizona.

Not if the Red wave is washed away by a Blue wave of voter fraud.

And if a lot of these Republicans are nothing more than assistant Democrats what good is it?

We have to many Rinos.

I can see where the DemonRats can take it too far like Bozo Biden has done to this country.

Bozo Biden would be taken to jail and horse whipped for doing for the things Bozo Biden has done to this country.

Bozo Biden also gave $455,000.00 to each illegal alien.

This waa considered illegal to pay these Illegals to come into the U.S.A.

There is a lot of work being done behind the scenes by the MSM since not a word about this big time money for each illegal.

We need all Governors to be Republican conservative, period.

GA is a key concern. Reps are still ticked at Kemp and raffelsburger at what they allowed abrams to do.

Perdue isn't a much better choice compared to Kemp.

Walker, if he wins the primary, should help bring out the black vote for the gop hopefully diluting abrams support in the hood.

It will come down to who is counting the votes.
