It shouldn’t be news that a man who believes the Fourth of July is a celebration of white supremacy has other ignorant takes on American history. But the left has made a hero out of former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, so his effort to compare the NFL draft to slavery in his new Netflix special is noteworthy.

Of course one could always decide to remove their name from the draft pool. It was a little more difficult to get off the boat.

A truly great player can get around being drafted by a team he doesn't like, though teams don't like the trades they'd have to go through.

Slaves couldn't become free agents.

They didn't have agents and salary negotiations either.

Curt Flood was right. Kaepernick, not so much.

What would be better than a draft would be an auction. A team names a college player they want to hire and the bidding begins. The first contract period would be 5 years for everyone. Basically Free Agency from the start.

They can always just walk away. Unless they want to be rich. That’s slavery? Most of us are never given the option.

*Kapernick is right on this one. Are you really this stupid?*

You draftnicks are easily led. The draft is a big production where all these athletes, mostly black, dress up and get big hugs from friends and family + the commissioner. It’s the NFL showing off. ‘Blacks have structure-see?’ The 300k fans showing up in Nashville are part of the problem. Then there’s the public paying for the stadiums.

Just “follow the drinking gourd” and take the underground railroad (are even Amtrak) to Canada and take one tenth the NFL pay to play in the freedom of the CFL.

And in soccer if you suck, you get relegated, you don’t get rewarded with a top draft pick.

So the Detroit Lions would be in the “Fourth Division” if the NFL worked like English soccer, LOL!

"Kapernick is right on this one."?????

It was his free choice to pursue a career in, and the spoils of becoming a pro football player in the NFL. He could have just as easily pursued a career in any other employment of his choosing, in fact, he still can.

Ouch, less attention than even the WNBA.

From a long time ago:

Johnny Carson: so why do you where gold chains?
Mr. T: to remind me of my slave heritage.
Johnny Carson: but, GOLD chains?
Mr. T: I’m better paid.

This Netflicks special will be shown to push buttons. As long as there’s an element of truth that can’t be denied we have to respect it. I respected Goldwater for saying the civil rights act took away one’s freedom of association. That was true and the truth will set you free. It’s not somebody else’s truth.

I wonder how this doofus would like to be drafted into the military with chickenshit pay and be sent off to use as cannon fodder?

Since he lived with adopted white parents wouldn’t the regular black folks call him “house?”

This attention whore is not intelligent enough to handle quarterbacking in the NFL so he just spews in public to cover for his stupidity. Typical demon rat mindset.

Reminds of the movie “The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh”, where the player said that he went to Canada to avoid the Draft....the NBA Draft.

They have a choice, but playing football pays better. All these pro leagues are cartels, but Colon could play baseball, basketball in the WNBA, or soccer. Hockey if he can skate, but if none of these appeal he could work for a living. To put it another way, slaves in the antebellum world could not tell “Master” they didn’t want field work but would gladly work in the office or in theater.
