AND - they need to understand that the word “Woe” is not a “tsk, tsk shave-your-finger”. Woe is reserved for describing trouble that is un-bearable, sent by God.
Rush used to say, “Words mean things”, and we all nodded our heads. But it’s a lot more serious than that. Re-defining language to deceive or accomplish a selfish goal is no shrug of the shoulders.
God is not kidding when he talks about people who play with words. Satan started the fall by twisting words. One of the Ten Commandments prohibits “false witness”, or using words to blame others or get out of our own sin. Jesus Christ Himself is called “The Word” in John chapter 1.
Woe indeed.
