You are sadly misinformed. A congressional delegation consisting of Matt Goetz, Bobbit and a number of others tried to visit these prisoners about 10 days ago. The bull dyke "supervisor," of the lock up in DC refused to let the group inspect the jail and then, on the pretext of talking privately with the group, lured them outside the jail entrance. The supervisor ran back in side the jail and locked the delegation out. I am waiting to see what follows. This was broadcast live by OAN, I believe.
Matt Gaetz and M.T. Greene seem to be about the only Congress Critters paying attention to these people. Sydney Powell and several others have started working on trying to help them.
This is what happens when laws are passed supposedly for a certain group-drug dealers, terrorists etc. Eventually it is misused.
Same with the so-called red flag laws. They declare you a danger to your self or others due to mental problems and then they can take your guns etc.
I still recall that many in the Soviet Union were locked up based on their being mentally ill - when it was actually that they were political dissidents.
As I understand it,eventually they were afforded and opportunity to speak with their lawyer, only while in close physical presence of guards.
This would violate confidentiality privilege of the lawyer-client relationship.
Furthermore, since the guards definitely identify with the Fed and with their brother police officers,
I am sure that any meaningful defense information would be shared with the prosecution.
Also, this action of delay by the Fed., which originally submitted erroneous and fictional information for trial, denies the civil right to a speedy trial.
To suggest that this incident is not politically motivated would render this posture by the prosecution as to be a farce !
I believe that Pelousey intends to delay the bulk of the trials until just prior to the midterm elections of 2022 for political impact.

It is good that a few decent people in Congress tried to visit them in jail and get this situation straightened out. But nothing will come of it unless the Repubs in Congress unite and refuse to consider or pass any legislation until these people are freed or until there are sustained, very edgy mass street demonstrations demanding their release.
Given the shameful history of conservative weakness, cowardice and inaction in the face of the decades-old leftist onslaught, it is extremely likely that neither will happen.
