Liberal billionaire George Soros signed an open letter in 2019 calling on 2020 presidential candidates to adopt the infamous “wealth tax” on the rich. But he reportedly paid no federal income tax three years in a row.
Soros-funded outlet ProPublica published a report exposing how “Soros paid no federal income tax three years in a row.” A Soros spokesman reportedly told ProPublica: “‘Between 2016 and 2018 George Soros lost money on his investments, therefore he did not owe federal income taxes in those years. Mr. Soros has long supported higher taxes for wealthy Americans.’” [Emphasis added.] But as The Dan Bongino Show’s Matt Polumbo noted, “the performance of Soros Fund Management, the fund responsible for Soros’ massive wealth, gained 5% in 2016, 8.9% in 2017, and 0.9% in 2018. Where exactly is the loss that they’re speaking of?”
Soros signed an open letter in 2019 calling on 2020 presidential candidates to adopt a wealth tax on the top one-tenth of one percent. The letter reeked of left-wing propaganda: “Those of us in the richest 1/10 of the richest 1% should be proud to pay a bit more of our fortune forward to America’s future. We’ll be fine — taking on this tax is the least we can do to strengthen the country we love.” In essence, it appeared Soros was being hypocritical.

Nothing stops S0r0$ from sending $ome in.
The billion dollar Marxists always insist that YOU are not paying enough in taxes (your “fair” share).
FIXED!
Of course. bezos/soros/gates/sanders/clinton/aoc/harris all want YOU to turn over all your money to the government, while they keep all theirs. And still hate you.
btt
Well kind of, but you get my point ...
There is NO limit on how much money you choose to donate to the government, NONE. Just cut the check or use direct deposit. Simple.
I choose not to donate one red cent beyond what I am required to pay. I don’t cheat, hard to do it anyway if you are a wage earner or live on fixed income annuity. I will however take whatever “gray area” deductions or credits I can as long as I have a supportable reason to do so. No, I do not consider my pets as dependents.
Not too far of topic, but I LOVE the commercial for the business that helps you get the IRS off your back.
My favorite is the guy who says he didn’t pay taxes for 8 years! I mean, seriously?
He was whining that he has 8 kids and has had financial problems, AS IF the number of your children or your financial problems are unique and only HE has experienced that.
WHO on earth gets a pass on that stuff? And, how do you blow off your tax obligation for 8 years while everyone ELSE pays and you do that with the expectation that it won’t be noticed.
Is it possible to BE that stupid?!! Some of those schemes even boast that people can get square with the IRS for pennies on the dollar.
I’d LOVE that set up!
No one is obligated to pay more tax than the law requires. Using the existing tax code, but believing that it should be changed, is not actually hypocritical.
Soros already moved his money around so he pays very little Death Tax
You can’t make an argument that the top 1/10 of one 1 percent are not paying their fair share when you yourself are in the 1/10 of 1 percent and are paying nothing in taxes. It is absolutely hypocritical.
Note that the “tax the rich” leftists never mention Herr SSoro$.
To me, what’s hypocritical about him is that he domiciles his investment fun offshore in the Cayman Islands. But again, it’s perfectly legal.
