Rand Paul unmasked and undressed Dr. Anthony Fauci at a hearing on Capitol Hill Tuesday about the National Institute of Health’s funding of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, from where the Wuhan coronavirus that has killed hundreds of thousands likely escaped Despite the feckless Fauci song-and-dance on funding the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s (WIV) deadly gain-of-function research, the fact is that Fauci fostered and funded such research here and illegally offshored it to Chinese researchers in Wuhan when the U.S. banned such funding here. Paul asked Dr. Fauci if he still supports National Institutes of Health funding for the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where scientists performed gain-of-function research—i.e. making viruses more infectious and/or deadly—on bat coronaviruses. The EcoHealth Alliance diverted $600,000 in grants from the NIH to the WIV in the form of sub-grants from 2014 through 2019, for the purpose of studying bat coronaviruses.
“For years, Dr. Ralph Baric, a virologist in the U.S., has been collaborating with Dr. Shi Zhengli from the Wuhan Virology Institute, sharing his discoveries about how to create superviruses,” Paul said. “This gain-of-function research has been funded by the NIH. … Dr. Fauci, do you still support funding of the NIH lab in Wuhan?”…

This is at the point where someone needs to take action, subpoena Facci, his records, documents from NIH, leaders there, and get them under oath. BUT, we see it time and time again, lots of words from congress, then nothing every happens. No one is held accountable, Facci will be making millions in speaking fees this time next year.
Gain-Of-Function Fauci BUMP.
Gain-of-function is a very old debate within the virology community. Many (those reliant on funding and in drug development) see it as a way to anticipate potential pandemics and be better prepared to treat it. Many see it as very dangerous and not worth the risks of a lab escape or creation of bio-weapons.
I am confident after the last year that the majority of the public will be very angry when we finally realize that we helped to fund the creation of this frankenvirus in an unsafe Chinese lab that works with the Chinese military to create bio-weapons.
History will not be kind to the highest paid government employee. To be clear, I don’t think our funding would have stopped the CCP associated lab from doing what they were doing, but it still begs the question..... why?
Even the Obama administration saw how dangerous and unwise this was and they tried to stop it. The deep state did not even give a damn about what Obama wanted either. The state department was clearly concerned about lab safety and the potential of a lab leak from Wuhan. Apparently, the WHO was more important to Fauci than the wishes of our government and warnings from the same.

Every time an American looked at an item for where it was made in it came from China. Now China’s reliance making everything was being threatened by a change in leadership in America which was a major consumer of those products. When Americans hailed their leaders decision to make many of them in their country US. Their politburo worried.
Worse yet opponents to the Chinese regime in power had its citizens protesting its policies , as in Hong Kong, since that change in American leadership, wave the American flag and present Trump’s name when doing so.
All of which presented those in power the need to destroy that leader Donald Trump. In totalitarian political circles this strategy has been reported to be frequently considered Would a runaway plague created by a nation which could threaten populations of an enemy cause them to react by demanding extreme restriction of movement by its population to prevent its spread ?
