A leftist Washington Post contributor played loose with the facts on guns in her attempt to convince readers to support banning “assault-style weapons.”
Kaiser Health News Editor-in-Chief Elisabeth Rosenthal’s latest anti-gun op-ed was headlined, “I was a teenage gun owner, then an ER doctor. Assault-style weapons make me sick.” She pivoted off her childhood rifling hobby and her experience as an emergency room doctor to gripe: “I gave up riflery as a teenager when other options — boys, movies, travel — came along. Maybe I’ll take it up again someday, if assault-style weaponry is banned and the word ‘gun’ again brings to mind sport and not a spinoff of war.” Rosenthal must have missed that gun experts have stated that there’s no such thing as a so-called “assault weapon.”
She panned how Congress failed to reauthorize the 1994 “assault weapons ban”: “Today, 17 years after Congress failed to reauthorize the ban, Americans own about 20 million AR-15-style rifles or similar weapons.”

But not sick enough to fall over dead unfortunately.
Maybe this “professional” medical health communication “specialist” should actually investigate the research and “science” behind the numbers of her system’s (government mandates) of face masks and isolation during her medical profession’s panic-epidemic.
She should stick to health issues, which even there she seems to want to pander to China, dismissive of health concerns to youth. She should be smart enough to know that banning the type of gun there is responsible for 3% of gun homicides is not going to affect anything. Probably reflective of her health skills as well. Very poor.
You have been sick ever since you gave up shooting....lady.
She knows damn well that guns don't kill, people do. Let's see her release the stats from Kaiser Health.
When people ask about my Armalite Rifle, aka “AR” I explain it’s just a .22.
Medical malpractice kills more people every year than all guns combined in the US of A
I think she’s just triggered, not sick. I think there may be a difference; I just can’t put my finger on it (trigger discipline being what it is and all).
I don’t know. Maybe. I’d love to think more about it but I have to head over to the vaccine clinic so I can start putting shots in arms. so...
Demands?
Well gee whiz. I’ll destroy any I find layin’ about on the asphalt.
all guns are assault weapons
some assault cans and water bottles
others assault paper targets and angled metal backstops of hillsides
...but all can kill
so can crossbows, compound bows, long bows
buses, trucks, cars, motorcycles, rocks, knives,
...or even bare hands
there is no logic to this expect to de-fang a free people
sadly we are living among the stupid and evil
They can’t attack hand guns, because even leftist feminists see them as the great equalizer.
They can’t attack shotguns and hunting rifles because, well, they’ve been around forever and are part of the argument made by the left regarding why the second amendment “really” exists.
So they are left with the “scary looking” guns, even though they are rarely used to murder people.
It’s actually kinda funny. Seriously.
ding ding ding. we have a winner.
BUMP
That's a good point. We're supposed to "listen to the experts," unless they are experts about guns, in which case they are "gunsplaining."
She must hang out with this hysterical woman:
