No, I swear I’m not making this stuff up: New York Times writer Charles Blow – quite possibly the dumbest man working in the media today, which is saying an awful lot – actually used his op/ed space in the fake newspaper of record on Friday to go after the greatest French skunk who ever worked in cartoons, the esteemed Pepe le Pew.
This says far more about Blow’s pathology than any of the tender viewers of Pepe Le Pew...
Actually, I see the point on Pepe.
How often has anyone even seen Pepe le Pew in the past 30 years?
I do see the point. I never liked Pepe because his cartoons were boring and repetitious, like the Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote. However the anti- fat shamers will soon come for Porky
Are the magpies gone already?
If by pathology you mean Blow’s third grade outlook and concomitant IQ, that it does.
He’s triaging a stupid cartoon for its grievous social implications?
What’s next - a theoretical discussion of the negative impacts of Wonder Woman’s costume?
Well, The Frito Bandito and Bill Dana’s “Jose Jimenez” bit the dust long ago.
Didn’t LePew always lose at the end? And he was always portrayed as the asshole! Chuck Jones & co. never portrayed him as the hero ,or a good guy!
I liked them because they were repetitious.
Same reason I’ve watched Talladega Nights 1,000 times.
Andrew Le Pew. A distant cousin?
The real reason why they're about to go after them is because the Looney Tunes incorporated classic American stories into their plots.
Then after that, Horatio Alger, Beverly Clearly, Judy Blume, and S.E. Hinton books will be on the chopping blocks.
this is pretty funny
Chris Cuomo sparks outrage by saying ‘you know I’m black on the inside’ during handover segment with Don Lemon while singing the Good Times theme tune
The dumb*ss also suggested canceling Speedy Gonzales...Hispanics are up in arms over that all over the internet. Not gonna happen, lol.
I watched an episode of TCM (Turner Classic Movies), a screening of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Before the movie they apologized for the disturbing aspects of the plot, the brothers kidnapped six women and dragged them back to their cabin (unmolested). But the panel agreed the film should not be banned, but rather viewed with the understanding that it was made 60 years previously. TCM is also showing Gone With the Wind.
De birds and de bees seem to whisper Louis... ah, mon Cheri, xoxoxoxo
