Media’s Uphill Battle to Create a Self-Fulfilling Election Prophecy…
Conservative Treehouse ^ | October 21, 2020 | Sundance

Posted on 10/21/2020 3:27:37 PM PDT by CheshireTheCat

Many people have requested polling deconstruction similar to CTH accurate analysis in 2016. Let us be clear, there really is no value in doing that in 2020.

The media effort in 2020 is indeed very similar to 2016 in that current narratives are are psychological effort to create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

BASELINE 101: Everyone naturally wants to be on the winning team.

The media effort, and that means all media including social media and big tech, is to push down Trump support and elevate the appearance of Biden support. I really wish people would deeply consider this…

…If ABC (G. Stephanopoulos), CBS (L. Stahl), NBC (S. Guthrie/L. Holt), CNN (writ large), and FOX (C. Wallace/M. Kelly) are willing to stage audience plants (demonstrably done) during town-hall and broadcast television events,… then what exactly do you think those same media outlets are doing with their election polling?

Think about it.

I do not mean casually think about it; I mean really think about it.

Your intellectually honest answer is the answer you need unto itself.

Everything you are witnessing right now is about psychological control to create the false illusion of reality within your own mind. Essentially, professional media gaslighting with an agenda and purpose. This is not a conspiracy theory, those who are coordinating the effort have admitted exactly what they are doing:

Google executives are on camera, outlining what their organization is doing. HERE and HERE and HERE. Google has admitted to using algorithms and their control over the internet search engine to influence the election. Again, stop and think about that.

General Stanley McCrystal is working with a SuperPAC to use psychological warfare against the American electorate. Even the Washington Post admitted..

no-one there for the most popular man in the world? watch at 10mins. is that the crowd? I know the public weren’t invited, but that may have been because no-one was showing an interest in turning up:

Dan Hendricks: There is no-one there again

comparison videos of supporters at Trump events vs Biden events should be on TV every time they mention a poll. Biden’s numbers are even worse than Hillary’s - and who would have thought that would be possible?

If it didn’t work in 2016, why do a repeat? I think its the opposite. Complacency leads to laziness. People probably didn’t bother voting for Hillary since they were told that she was a shoe in.

In 2016 Hillary had thousands of screaming fans show up for her big rally (with Obama) in Philadelphia.

The Babylon Bee would have a _blast_ with this “campaign event”.

Biden is clearly running several points behind Hillary in every state this year—it is getting kinda obvious.

Crowd events cost money. I think Biden is reserving his dough for ads. If I had a penny for every single time I saw a Democrat ad, I’d have a few dollars’ worth. That’s how often I’ve seen Democrat ads in the past several weeks. And that’s just on one of ad-supported channels on Roku. I bet broadcast ads are even more pervasive. Trump has bet it all on ground game, and rallies are part of that ground game - get your supporters fired up to show up in the polling booth. Biden’s bet is that ad barrages will sway viewers to vote Democrat. We’ll see which strategy pans out. If Trump wins, look for Dems to expand GOTV and rallies in the next election cycle.

We live in a DVR nation where most of us zip past commercials anyway.

Don’t forget that most people probably showed up for the free Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi concert afterwards ....

Every time I hear a candidate wants to “drive up health care costs”, I know that the candidate the ad is criticizing is against government subsidies and/or price controls. I vote straight ticket Republican anyway, but it’s good to hear the name of my local statehouse rep.

you’d think they would have learned those particular lessons from hilary’s failed campaign which featured little more than a billion dollars of TV ads and a couple of appearance a month in front of 500-600 people ...

Even old-timers like me that watch TV from time to time hit the mute button for ads.

I think the age demographic has got to be _really_ old for ads to actually reach the intended audience.

That is why so many of the ads are big pharma, hospitals, health care insurance, Medicare supplements etc.

I’m cautiously optimistic. I think Democrats aiding and abetting rioters will swing hitherto Democrat voters against them in large numbers simply out of self-preservation. These are people who largely agree with the Dem platform but are furious that the Dems are giving free rein to looters and arsonists.

Media also needs to keep a contentious race for those media dollars rolling in

This is a good article, and I agree that gaslighting and lying and “media dominance” is the strategy.

However, the Democrats need to fire their psychologists, because they just do not understand how people’s minds work.

Two simple rules:

(1) If you want to attract young people and talk about “change”, the best way to do that is with a young, articulate candidate.

This year—total absolute fail—couldn’t get worse—and can’t get fixed with “messaging”. Slo Jo Biden is the medium. “The medium is the message.”

(2) If you want to get people to kick out the incumbent and support the challenger, you need folks to feel safe and secure with the challenger.

The riots (and the Democratic “stand down” response to them) terrified the American people. The “grim determination” you are seeing with voters is a determination to keep their homes and neighborhoods safe. The President has an image as a strong man who will never be intimidated, Biden talks about “meetings” and “committees” to discuss stuff. While crazies are burning and looting? Are you kidding me? Worst possible image and message for the Democrats.

Likewise, censorship by big tech and doxxing by leftists and shadow doxxing (cancel culture) by big corporations and organizations has terrified the American people. Everybody knows some web sites or somebody that has been censored (directly or indirectly) by Big Tech. Biden could not care less about this issue. Total fail. Worse, the censorship is always against President Trump, so average folks feel the big corporations are treating them like the President. Disaster for the Democrats.

If you have the wrong message you are burnt toast—so spending zillions of dollars propagating this wrong message just makes people hate your candidate more.

I expect stunning low vote totals for Biden, significantly below the Hillary numbers. Even if the President just matches his 2016 voter figures, he should win comfortably., particularly in the electoral college.
