In this video, Joe Biden explaining why he wrote a law that treated crack cocaine as significantly worse than powder cocaine. Bidens law ended up disproportionately imprisoning African Americans.
He concludes that someone doing crack was fundamentally different than someone sniffing cocaine in a neighborhood as beautiful as this...

And Trump fixed this sham.
Biden labeled blacks as “super predators”

what year was this??
That’s because Hunter was doing CRACK???
Was he making an excuse, saying he was lied to?
As much as I hate to say anything to defend Joe Biden I have to be true to history.
When that law was written Crack Cocaine was destroying the Black community. Crack was cheap and quickly addicting. The leaders of the Black communities around the country were crying for help.
The law was what the Black community wanted. The wanted strict and harsh punishment for those individuals that were selling crack on the street. But as usual people seldom think beyond the near-term results of legislation.
Now, years later that legislation is putting the majority of young urban Black men in jail on a felony charge at some time in their life.
The Law of Unintended Consequences has made fools of them all. Biden gave them what they wanted. Does that make him a racist? He is but I dont think pushing this law through is proof.
The irony is that one of the most bigoted and racist politicians I know of is in fact Joe Biden. I think it’s fair to say that’s not news but these fidiots with the lawn signs think Trump is the racist.
bkmk
Maybe because Joe taught Hunter all about Hookers and blow.
super predators
I believe the diseased old skank said it. Mrs. klintoon
The thinking at the time was that only the wealthy could afford powder cocaine and the cost made the drug self-limiting as to the damage it could cause.
This legislation was driven by the inner-city Black communities.
To tell the truth I thought it made sense at the time. Everything you read about crack at the time made it out to be the worst thing you could imagine.
Just like meth a few years later they said you were hooked on the first use.
It seems like every few years some new horror drug hits the street and dealers are making millions.
Yes. And crack was a street drug with gangs shooting it out and sending way too many innocent bystanders to the morgue. Was powder cocaine a drug of abuse in Hollywood and various other elite, mostly white enclaves? Yes. Were the movie stars and other elite white people murdering each other wholesale in turf wars? No.
And that's why crack was treated differently.
And Kamala was happy to prosecute those blacks and toss them in jail to further her career.
If you look at the gun violence you see a spike around the time crack hits the streets. It subsided somewhat in the early/mid 90s.
Lots of easy money to be made and no one wanted to share.
