President Trump offered Julian Assange a deal if he were to disclose his source of the DNC emails released before the 2016 election.

Today it was reported in a British Court that the President of the US attempted to get this information from Assange. The Daily Mail reports:

When Assange offered a $2000 award for information regarding Seth Rich’s death, he unequivocably stated that Wikileaks does not know the sources of leaks by design. He also opined on the dangers associated with leaking to Wikileaks. He did a good job of conflating Seth Rich’s death with the DNC leak without revealing that Seth Rich was the source. It may be true that he doesn’t have evidence that Seth Rich was the leaker but Assange did claim to have evidence that the emails did not come from “the Russians.”

Seth Rich’s family, by reports I have seen, are strong leftists/Democrats who attacked Trump (and anyone else) for suggesting their son was the source of the DNC leaks and was at all involved with Wikileaks.

Perhaps they’re afraid of being murdered also.
