Few people know that all the blood collected by the Red Cross that companies host in their annual blood drives across this country is ultimately SOLD to the hospitals..it's not donated due to alleged shortages.
And don't get me started on that equally bogus "United Way" that my company used to bully employees into donating to........
United Way is corrupt to its most innermost core. In about 1979 I finally convinced my employer at a large city PD department to stop bullying the employees to "donate" 3% of the income for the month of February each year to the UW when I and a few other other employees exposed some of their very corrupt spending practices and threatened to take the researched info to the local news media outlet and how a certain high ranking command staff officer was personally benefiting from the coerced "donations".
It stopped real fast at that point and one certain high ranking command staff officer suddenly retired. So yeah, I know about the United Way too.
