The long-awaited reform of the H-1B outsourcing program that was promised by Donald Trump in 2016 has been sent to the White House for approval, according to a chorus of concerned corporate immigration lawyers.
The news was praised by advocates for U.S. professionals but slammed by the immigration lawyers who guide foreign workers into hundreds of thousands of jobs that would otherwise go to young and old American graduates.

H1Bs have had a direct negative impact on our national defense
when the DoD needs to get a classified project done, it must be completed using people with CLEARANCE. being an American citizen is (generally) a minimum to having a clearance. being American born is also a big factor
problem is, when the DoD needs to find such people... they look to Americans in the industry. a vibrant industry comprised of Americans makes that possible. BUT the introduction of H1Bs in 2000 by bjclinton started reducing the number of available Americans to do the job.
It also brought many foreign born into the classified work via govt contracting companies. i’ve personally seen many foreign born behind name-access doors working on systems to control the silos. mind boggling to say the least.

The H1b program is government sponsored discrimination against American citizens by American companies. It has become a back door for foreign interests to filter agents into American companies and enact corporate espionage, stealing information on products and goods designed and made here
DC area is overrun by Indian and Chinese “immigrants”. It’s just incredible.
We might as well link these two articles. One sure as hell isn’t in agreement with the other. Sounds like some double-dealing, double-faced BS to me going on here. So this is all we get four years later, a broken promise.

You need to start with the universities that import foreigners into graduate schools to displae natural-born citizens. They do the basic research work very, very cheaply so their tenured professors can bank more of the grant money that would otherwise need to go to support U. S.=born native scholars/ Then these foreign-born graduates get the corporate laboratory jobs and professorships, cheapening them also. Then they start bringing in their relatives.
They multiply like MRSA, very hard to get rid of while they kill the U. S. technical job market, making this country like the third-world countries they come from, economically, philosophically, and religiously.

We keep telling kids STEM STEM STEM, get into STEM, and then they want to import more STEM people from 3rd world countries. They are doing everything they can to make STEM jobs minimum wage. I am glad I started my career in the late 70’s, when white men ran everything and being an engineer at a big company was full of promise and expectation for a long and productive career.

But have no fear. If American universities continue marching down the woke road, the problem will take care of itself. No parent is going to pay that kind of money and send their kid half way around the world so they can learn how to be pissed off.

There’s a lot of things going on with India, lately, beyond the h1b thing.
There is military action between India and China in a border war. There has, and is some action between India and Pahkeestan, as well as a large ‘pr’ video big bad dog video war. My money is on India in these actions. So we raise India in the face of China.
