Good News From Pennsylvania? Registration shifts across the state show Republicans are gaining voters at five times the rate of Democrat

These days, we Republicans take our good news any way we can get it. This is from Pennsylvania:

[T]here’s good news for the GOP: Registration shifts across the state show Republicans are gaining voters at five times the rate of Democrats.

Since the 2016 primary election, Republicans have added about 165,000 net voters, while Democrats added only about 30,000. Democrats still maintain a 800,000-voter edge over Republicans. But that’s down from 936,000 in 2016, when Trump still won the state by less than 1%.

The Democrats are the party of riots and arson, of favoring criminals over police officers, of doing away with law enforcement, of “canceling” those with whom they disagree, of selling out to China, of raising taxes to stratospheric levels. Is this really a winning platform? And is Joe Biden, verging on the comatose, a winning candidate? I have to see it to believe it. So I don’t find it shocking that Republicans are signing up new voters far faster than Democrats.

Here in Minnesota, if you read the newspapers and watch the news, you would think that most Minnesotans are pro-riot and arson, love to see statues torn down, don’t mind our economy being needlessly destroyed, and can’t wait to get back into President Xi’s pocket. But our polling finds that 85% of Minnesotans support their local law enforcement. The disconnect between the official story and what is actually happening on the ground is a chasm. I’m guessing the same is true around the country.

A recent Harvard CAPS/Harris poll, reported in The Hill, finds something similar: “Poll: Majority say they are concerned about rising crime in US cities.” But “majority” is hardly the word for it:

Seventy-seven percent of respondents say they are concerned that crime is rising in the nation’s cities, while 46 percent of respondents said they were concerned about rising crime in their own communities.

Seventy-seven percent is an overwhelming consensus. Crime, which the Democratic Party mostly endorses or in any event chooses to do nothing about, is a winning issue. And it isn’t the only one. Call me an optimist, but I think it is way too early for Joe Biden’s handlers to be ordering a walker to get him up the White House steps.

This won’t matter. The mail in ballot fix is in for PA.

This is a bit off topic, but if the Senate doesn’t do something about federal UI soon, we are in deep trouble.

Not a winning platform...

The democrats will always have the advantage when it comes to ‘registered’ voters, since their ‘registered’ voters include those residing in cemeteries and the illegal aliens, and the multiple-state voters, and the fictional names which always pop up at election or post election day.

Republicans have out registered Democrats this year in the county where Penn State University is located. Along the lines of what Larry Schweikert has stated, the Democrats will lose potentially tens of thousands of votes in Pennsylvania because the campuses are empty.

I don’t get that. Why wouldn’t they vote in their home towns?

Didn’t CNN decide that PA is already totally Biden country?

I am convinced that they do.

They vote absentee in their hometowns, and in person where they attend school.

Might one say the voters are transitioning?

What happens in college towns is that democrat campus organizers register tons of students to vote and then get them out at the campus polling places in droves. They register out-of-state students to vote In places like Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Iowa, etc. So, for example, the thousands of Maryland kids that go to Penn State would register to vote in Pennsylvania instead of Maryland. Democrats do this tactic all over the place. New Hampshire is a state with same-day registration where campus organizers can get thousands of college kids, many of whom are out of state, to vote in New Hampshire.

Let me expand upon my previous response regarding college students (now that I have a computer instead of an iPhone to type on). Penn State is located in Centre County. Clinton defeated Trump in Centre County by 48% to 46% in 2016. In the counties that surround Penn State and Centre County, Trump beat Clinton by roughly 70/30. While there are many liberal professors, etc. that permanently live in the county, the bulk of the pro-Clinton vote came from Penn State students. The Democrats do a great job of organizing on-campus. They register out of state students to vote at Penn State. They get PA natives to register at Penn State also and get them out of their dorm rooms to the polls. Since March, the students at Penn State have been sent home. Therefore, there have been no registration drives on campus since March, resulting in Republican out-registering Democrats in Centre County by a large number this year. Less (or no) students on campus means less Pennsylvania votes for Biden. U. of Penn. is an Ivy League school and will be all distance-learning in the Fall, etc. The Dems will probably lose 50K plus votes minimum from the drop-off in college students voting in PA.
