If they wear what people wear in the grocery store, yes, they might as well quit wearing them. They are a palliative for the person trying to avoid infection.
Disclaimer: I wear mask in close quarters, because I do care about others’ feelings, even if they are misguided.
I agree if people aren’t at least wearing surgical masks, they won’t get (or give others) much benefit. But surgical masks are certainly working in Taiwan, where they dumped several dozen infected people into their society (in May) and not a person got sick from them.

I have a mask me and if someone ask me politely to put it on i comply.
Otherwise, i am “anti-science”..can’t argue with science.. or at least politically motivated scientist and or scientist wanna be’s.
