You can chant Black Lives Matter in Florissant, but youd better not paint it in the middle of North Lindbergh Boulevard.
Following multiple warnings, police arrested two people after a few protesters started to paint Black Lives Matter in the street for the third time.
We are trying to send a message that Black lives matter, so instead of sending police in riot gear over here why dont they try a dialogue and listen to what we are asking? said Tina Richards, 57, of Cahokia, who was among the 50 to 70 protesters outside police headquarters on Sunday.
BLM protester did manage to paint the mural in the end.
But after protesters painted Black Lives Matter on a street outside the Florissant, Missouri, police department, the city allegedly covered it up, drawing new criticism as protests continue locally and around the US.
A video posted to Twitter on Saturday showed a group of people painting over the stenciled words and questioned the use of a blue line of paint to do the job. The thin blue line has for decades been a metaphor for police work, and its frequently included in pro-police imagery. Theyve had to paint over it twice and just finished yesterday but BLM was already forming protesters to repaint it. According to Florissant Police Department Officer Steve Michael, the paint is not blue, but gray, probably they painted over again to make it grey as we can see from the pictures and the video.
It was painted over because it is illegal to paint the roadway,
Some suggested that the group painting over the mural was a local group of people, but officer Michael said that the new paint job was done by the citys street department.
If we allow all groups to paint a message anywhere then we would have all kinds of different groups doing it, he said. We simply cannot allow any group to paint anything on roadways.

Please share this article wherever you can. It is the only way we can work around their censorship and ensure people receive news about issues that Democrats and the mainstream media suppress.
I would love to get enough Italians here to paint “Christophe Columbus, great Italian” on one of the widest and most important streets.
I’m sure the South shore of Staten island would be all for it but de Blasio would send a national guard in to shoot us dead
That kraut ****
You cant tell us where Florissant is?
So annoying.
There is a Florisant, Colorado. But the photo doesn’t fit my memory of the town!
In tiny print, inside...MO.
I see that there is a Florissant, Missouri. That would seem to fit better with the photo than the one in Colorado.
From the excerpt:
“...a street outside the Florissant, Missouri, police department...”
St. Louis, Mo, is the short answer.
St. Louis proper is surrounded by concentric shells of municipalities. It’s like the sun and the planets, or the nucleus of an atom and electrons. Anyway, north of St. Louis is Normandy, then the now-infamous Ferguson, then Florissant. Florissant is outside I-270, which is a sort of beltway. One give-away is the mention of Lindbergh blvd.
It’s where the “gentle giant” put up his hands and was gunned down. /s
Painting concrete reduces traction. Who is liable for accidents?

Sir you have the right to assemble, to petition your government, to peacefully protest. You also have the right to select someone to run for office that reflects your views.
All these rights are protected.
But you lie sir. You do not want a dialog, you want to use violence to get your way. Sorry, that is not protected free speech.
“So annoying.”
Irony.

What are they asking? Reparations? De-fund the police?
If protesters want to send a message, why not write a letter? After all the protests, riots, lootings, and murders, I still don’t know what they want. “They” don’t know either, because they are not in agreement with one another.
It’s time to paint MAGA on streets across America.
See how they like that shit.
57 years old and still has not grown up .
“We are trying to send a message...”
The message is, “We are the new Bolsheviks, dummer than the old Bolsheviks.”
They riot and pull down statues. The world’s never seen THAT before.
These people are too stupid to know that they are being lead around by the noses, just like last time.
Block lettering is NOT a “mural.”
Multiple coats of paint on a roadway. What could go wrong, on a rainy day?
