Before getting to the meat of this story, I should probably start with a bit of disclosure. When I was younger, I used to play Dungeons and Dragons. I mean
I played it a lot. Probably obsessively. It started when I was in the Navy, but carried on well into my thirties. That fact is probably what later led me to become somewhat addicted to the online roleplaying game Everquest. So yes
I was one of those nerds.

No surprise ... darn editing mistake...
When DMing, I fully intend to ignore all the woke BS, and if a player cares to take issue with it I will ask them to roll for initiative- after the wandering monsters of much higher level finish their surprise attacks.
That was a great series of modules.
Ever notice the beginning of a “Chess” game?
White gets the first move.
Always.
No exceptions.
Ever.
Mmmmmh (stroking my chin in deep thought)
“Let That Be Your Last Battlefield”
And how about that episode when two characters applied makeup so one half of their face was black, the other half white......
Oh wait, never mind.....
Needed Repeating.
;)
Yep. Look for that to change.
My “Oriental Adventures” is up to $288 right now, and I sold the Divinity boxed set for $380. SJWs seem to be all about making me wealthy. Kinda curious to see what happens to my First Edition Monster Manual and Fiend Folio now, what with all those racist descriptions in ‘em.
If that’s troublesome, go play Go. Black always goes first and receives a handicap from White in the form of extra pieces. So ya get Affirmative Action AND reparations in ONE game! It’s a steal! lol
When players are using characters of these races, it doesnt make sense to make them role play evil.
What's the matter with you?!!!
That's no succubus. That's evil!!
NO! Niel Young isn’t the succubus. He’s the one who was looking for the Heart of Gold. Geez, I know a Southern man don’t need him around anyhow, but he’s like Woodie Guthrie; you’re supposed to know him even if he is a lefty who couldn’t find a note with a field guide and a dog.
LOL,ROFLMAO
I missed the reference.
But I recognize it now.
Back in college, I asked a visiting preacher why he said the game was evil. stating that I had played the game and had never felt any warnings of danger.
He thought for a minute and said, It’s the role playing nature of the game. That it can be used to introduce people to demon worship.
That actually made sense. But by the same token, the role playing nature of the game could be used to teach Christian disciplines. So I think the game itself is neutral. It depends on how it’s used.
