That should have been the end of Gummi Lion Mattis, that day. A presidential directive should have been issued at the same time saying to all the services, ‘Do it know. I want to know how many of these screwed up people are in your service and how fast you will separate them. I want to know TODAY by close of business. If necessary hand carry it to my office. If you try and play games with me you will follow Mattis.’

My issue with Mattis goes back more than a decade ago when he turned his back to the Haditha Marines. He’s a political POS in my book. And you’ve just cited recent examples of his priorities.

I can’t speak to his combat integrity, but as a political player, he’s a reckless disgrace.
