BigEdLB, me as well. I have pulled off of social media platforms or limited my postings to non-topics. Quite likely I will withdraw further as well. The growth of the Cancel Culture and Shaming Culture simply do not make the risk worthwhile.
I feel for you. I have a similar situation with FB and website, etc. We do not stray from the product. Luckily no one asks my opinion, otherwise I would have to tell them.

The straw for me is the pulling down the statue of Christopher Columbus. That’s just Stalinesque! Destroying art. As far as the movie, “Gone With the Wind,” that’s just talk, like defunding the police. All talk. But pulling down a statue and nobody even attempting to stop them!
Perhaps you could do so anonymously just as you've done here? You could even rub it in a little (just don't do it from any of your accounts or devices).
