I assume you have not watched the original 9 minute plus video. There is literally nothing that can excuse what is on that video.
Every American should be horrified in what took place on that video.
You obviously didn’t read my entire comments. I disagreed with the article’s characterization of the initial contact. He was clearly resisting the efforts to be handcuffed - not violently, but enough that it required an additional officer to assist in the cuffing. I did not say that justified putting him to the ground with a knee on his neck, and I agree that this clearly looks very bad for the officers. But there are trials for a reason.
Agree, and skin color should have nothing to do with it.
Due process means law enforcement detain, and I understand that this isn’t something that happens with kid gloves, but it’s common ense not to restrain something but putting a grown ass man’s body weight on someone’s neck, whether they die or not.
It’s a rough job and you deal with a lot of bad people, but you need only the people with the right temperament for the job. Not just for the public’s sake, but for their own sake too. Getting rough to teach someone a lesson about authority because they mouthed back or didn’t move fast enough is something that should have been gone with the 1950s
Until all of these acts are outlawed, this will happen again and again.
Horrified but not surprised as it yet another area run 100% by Democrats. Every cop killing I can think of happened in areas run by Democrats. Freddie Gray - Baltimore, Eric Garner - NYC, Michael Brown - Ferguson in which Democrap Brian Fletcher was Mayor at the time and now this guy George Floyd in the Rat run city of Minneapolis under Democrat Jacob Frey.
I don’t know why this is the case, but it ticks me off how it’s ignored and Republicans are blamed. The usual celebretards all day have been posting on Twitter blaming this on Trump, they even posted a fake photo making the cop out to be a racist Trump supporter and of course Twitter doesn’t take it down........
