Agree, and skin color should have nothing to do with it.
Due process means law enforcement detain, and I understand that this isn’t something that happens with kid gloves, but it’s common ense not to restrain something but putting a grown ass man’s body weight on someone’s neck, whether they die or not.
It’s a rough job and you deal with a lot of bad people, but you need only the people with the right temperament for the job. Not just for the public’s sake, but for their own sake too. Getting rough to teach someone a lesson about authority because they mouthed back or didn’t move fast enough is something that should have been gone with the 1950s
Agree 100%. Police need to be men of the highest moral character. With the amount of police in this country, I doubt there are enough moral men to fill the slots.
I would like to see a return to walking your beat. Get to know those you are serving. Have a vested interest in the people you protect.
