Yesterday a video surfaced from George Floyd as he was pinned down by a cop and later died.
It happened Monday night, when cops were responding to a forgery in progress. Police arrived and saw the suspect sitting in a car. According to the Department, the man resisted arrest so he was placed in handcuffs, adding he appeared to be suffering medical distress.
This has caused tensions around the country and things are not looking good.
The Minneapolis Police Department first requested an independent investigation by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and later contacted the FBI as well after the force received additional information that indicated the incident could be a question of civil rights, Police Chief Medaria Arradondo said Tuesday.
Floyds family has reportedly retained the services of Benjamin Crump, a well-known civil rights attorney who previously represented the family of Michael Brown, a black teenager whose 2014 killing by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, helped propel the Black Lives Matter movement into national prominence.
Arradondo announced that four officers involved in the incident had been fired Tuesday afternoon, which Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said was the right call.
But a new video from a surveillance camera has surfaced and it might cause more tensions.
A nearby restaurant, Dragon Wok, captured the initial moments of Georges run-in with Minneapolis police on a camera set up outside. Based on the video, this started as a traffic stop of some sort, which ended with George being led away in cuffs.
The video shows 2 vehicles parked curbside, and eventually, 2 officers approach one of the cars and ask everyone to step out. A man and a woman emerge from the passenger side, while George is taken out by another officer on the drivers side seemingly struggling at first.
The cops get George to stand up and lead him over to the sidewalk where they sit him down. He isnt doing a whole lot of resisting the rest of the way.

Two of the cops fired over the arrest of black man George Floyd have already been investigated for their roles in previous use-of-force incidents, its been revealed.
Derek Chauvin, 44, the officer filmed kneeling on Floyds neck during his arrest, is a 19-year veteran of the force who was investigated over a fatal police shooting in 2006.
Chauvin was investigated for his role in the 2008 shooting of Ira Latrell Toles during a domestic assault call. Toles was wounded after police said he went for an officers gun and Chauvin shot him.
Two years earlier Wayne Reyes, 42 was killed by officers after allegedly pulling a shotgun on the six cops, which included Chauvin, The Star Tribune reports.
A second officer involved in Mondays arrest, Tou Thao, is said to been part of a $25,000 out of court settlement after being sued for using excessive force in 2017.
In a lawsuit obtained by the DailyMail.com shows Thao was sued for using excessive force in an arrest where he was accused of punching and kicking a handcuffed suspect until his teeth broke. In any case, there is no need for people to spark racial tension as an Asian-American was also involved in the case. this is just police brutality and its something that needs to concern all of us no matter the race!
Please share this article wherever you can. It is the only way we can work around their censorship and ensure people receive news about issues that the mainstream media suppress.
You deserve no more.
50 years ago, incredible, and not one person in the media will mention that or even investigate this. All they care about instead is flaming race relations and blaming Republicans who have absolutely nothing to do with it. It seems to me one possible reason why these killings happen so much in democrap run areas is that these democrap run cities have lowered the standards when it comes to hiring police, but eh, who cares about that when it can be used by democraps to flame race releations and CNN can get their ratings
Well then you can join the lynch mob in Minnesota and burn these cops without a trial. I guess that part of the Constitution means nothing to you. Judge, jury and executioner seems to be your forte.
“...And then choked him to death right there on camera??? “
That’s exactly what happened to him. Right on the damned camera. They had no regard for the condition or lack of breathing of the man.
Open your eyes.
Open your mind. Nobody knows for sure what caused the death at this point. More at the link:
The officers may be determined to be grossly at fault and, indeed, discredited and rightly labeled murderer and accessories. An in-depth analysis of all the data may show that they were legally justified in every decision they made. There may be a lot of truth along the continuum between the two conclusions. At the end of all of it, Ill be able to say I was right not to make a judgment based on 36 hours of news reports.
Heres what remains to be known at this point.
CAUSE OF DEATH
An autopsy and perhaps as in the case of Michael Brown, multiple autopsies, will be the sole determinant of the cause of death. Particular attention will be given to whether there is internal injury resulting from compression to the posterior portion of the neck, and whether any such injury to nerves or tissue resulted in an inability of Floyd to breathe or maintain critical blood circulation.
The actual mechanism of that compression, including how much weight was applied (it will not be the officers total body weight) and the effect of that weight. While still responsive, Floyd was able to move his head laterally while prone with the officer above him.
Pre-existing conditions may be found from medical history or autopsy that could cause death under circumstances that would not be fatal to persons without those conditions. The possibility that death was imminent regardless of the police interaction will be considered to be ruled out if appropriate. Floyds universal complaints of stomach upset, hurting all over and breathing problems will be compared to autopsy findings.
TOXICOLOGY
The ability of a person to respond in a rational, physically coordinated manner is diminished in a variety of ways when under the influence of a variety of legal or illicit drugs. Many in-custody deaths are a result of the influence of ingested chemicals on the body. The ability to comprehend commands, put compliance into practice, or accurately communicate ones distress is also affected. A finding of high alcohol content, psychotropic drugs, central nervous system depressants, or polydrug use would be of significant value to investigators in analyzing the context of the custody.
Why keep cops on board you had to pay a settlement over
This George Floyd death looks a lot like how Kelly Thomas ended up dead at the hands of Fullerton, CA police back in 2011.

Of course that’s not what I’m saying. Whatever health issue he had contributed to his death. At this point, unless the autopsy report says Floyd had an aneurysm unrelated to respiratory distress he is going to face manslaughter charges. Murder implies he was trying to kill him which I do not believe. I think he thought he was a big guy who could handle a little rough treatment and was crying wolf as arrested people often do.
