Interesting! Democrat Claire McCaskill and Joe Scarborough think NeverTrumper Justin Amash’s decision to run for President as a Libertarian will only help President Donald Trump. McCaskill said every anti-Trump vote needs to be for Joe Biden. Amash – from Michigan – could peel away enough anti-Trump vote there to keep Biden from winning. . . .

He absolutely will. Trump voters will not switch. Wishy washy voters that would have voted Biden out of hate for Trump now have another choice.

Right, the 23 votes Amash will manage to get will be the reason Biden loses.

In Virginia politics, the RINOs have been financing losertarians for at least a couple decades in order to defeat conservatives like Oliver North. One of the reasons Virginia is in its current predicament is that RINOs have sabotaged all the the legitimate conservatives with losertaran opponents who siphon off just enough conservative voters to queer the deal.

Amash will pick up the Democrats that can’t vote for Senile Joe.

Amash is a pro-life Christian. He won’t be pulling in any Democrats.

you do realize that libertarians would run in the general election, right? for your delusion to be at all believable, you would have to convince people that the gop intentionally lost house and senate seats just for kicks.

oh, wait. it gets better. THEN, you’d have to convince everyone that the pretentious, supercilious libertarians would play along in your imaginary gop ruse.

Clearly you have not been following Virginia politics. There are Republicans who would rather see a Democrat win than a conservative Republican. For example, in 2014, Robert Sarvis, the Libertarian candidate siphoned off enough conservative votes to allow Mark Warner to win another term. The previous year, the same Robert Sarvis siphoned off enough votes from Ken Cuccinelli to allow Terry McAuliffe to win the governorship.

Most libertarians I have met are screwballs tilting at windmills.

I think it would take more than the 15 votes that Amash will pull.

Yes, let’s get a dozen people running... Libertarian, socialist, communist, green, etc. Question is how can many of these get separated from the Democrat party

no one is debating that leach-like libertarians suck votes out of republicans and elect democrats to high office; what I called fabrics on was that the libertarians that are destroying republicans candidates in general elections are somehow tools of republicans.

that’s gaddam delusional.

. . . and I follow VA politics just fine.

Amash is owned by China. He is all about his $1 million per year share of MIT, thus his vote to impeach our President. As usual, follow the money.

They must have seen my post from yesterday in the thread Justin Amash launches exploratory committee for Libertarian presidential bid:

Good. He can split the Democrat vote. The Never-Trump vote is already on the Democrat side. Now they can go to Amash instead of Biden.

Some of the Never Trump Republicans who might have voted for Biden might be comfortable voting for Amash.

And Amash would be a better choice than Biden.
