I’ve done a fair amount of fishing out of Oregon Inlet. I don’t see why a 6 pack of people who are already living together couldn’t charter a boat and the Captain could stay on the bridge like they do anyway. Of course one of the guests would have to know how to be “mate” which could make it “less fun” for that guy.

The whole restriction is ridiculous. You’re out on a river, or in a boat hundreds of yards if not thousands, from anyone else. How much more socially isolated and safe can you be?

This is essentially asking a favor from a tyrant. The tyrant had no authority to close down fishing in the first place. That is the issue.
