Think about this article sometime later today, sometime when you are surrounded by other peoplemaybe in the lunch line, or at a department meeting, or at a party, or in a crowded plaza. Notice the people around you. Are they fools and tools, or do they sparkle with interesting individuality? Notice, in other words, if you are wearing your jerk goggles.
We all look through jerk goggles sometimes. But we are not stuck with this vision of the world. Merely by reflecting on it a bit, we can, I thinkmost of us, at least momentarilysee what is deficient in that vision.
And that is the way to take those jerk goggles off.

There was a great line similar to this from the show Justified. Raymond said, If you meet an a**hole in the morning then youve just met an a**hole. If you meet a**holes all day long then youre the a**hole.
Invalid if one happens to be in Toronto, though.
That was a fun show, wasn’t it?
Elderly Lady listening to radio and hears someone is driving the wrong way on the Interstate.
She calls her husband and warns him about the problem and he says...
“There is more than one idiot out here going the wrong way”
No need to check. I’m a jerk. Now all you damn kids get off my lawn!
Too wordy for this jerk
I enjoy the phrase “Your an asshole and this is all bullshit.” Works in many of our day to day situations.

At work the Office Manager was just a jerk.’
I thought about informing his(her) supervisor, but stopped.
If s(he) is really bad, others will turn her(him) in.
If not, then I am the problem.
So, I remained quiet. Others ratted her(him) out.

if you do not know who the fish is then you are the fish.
Nope, invariably I am absolutely correct!
I heard a wise retired nurse say on the Rush Limbaugh Show once:
“Most people are disappointments.”
The local UPS store had a real jerk, a woman spring loaded to the full metal b!tch position. in the brief time I was there one customer she dealt with left in tears, vowing never to set foot in that UPS. Two others said SHAME to the FMB.
I very quietly asked the young lady who was helping me to get her supervisor.
FMB was the supervisor.
Does this sort of thing happen often?
Yeah.
Oh dear.
A nod.
How can I contact the owner?
She hands me a card.
It took me a couple days to track him down between the 3 stores he owns.
Told him what I saw, how other customers responded, what I was told by another employee and observed that the FMB was a threat to his business.
He sighed, agreed and said several others had called him and FMB was in the process of being fired, and thanked me for caring enough to contact him directly.
I reckon she was really bad, it wasn't just me...
Everyone knows what you think of them within 10 seconds of meeting. That often determines what they think of you.
I have a staff member who has been plagued by horrid neighbors everywhere he’s lived. I think I understand those neighbors.
*Be polite.
*Be professional.
*But have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
