There is a fine line, and it’s not always clear when the line has been crossed-
In China- it’s illegal for people to gather in homes and teach Christianity- but they do so anyways- because God’s laws are higher than any government’s laws that violate His laws-

The last I knew then Churches did not need licenses to operate. So I don’t see how he can shut them down permanently under the constitution. Technically I don’t see how any normally lawful “Assembly” can be forced to shut down under the constitution. Not even for an emergency. I don’t believe there is any such exclusion in the constitution to the right to assemble. And the founders would not have wanted one to exist because that causes the citizens to loose the ability to defend their freedom and their constitution.
While I understand the sentiment to contain this virus it is just frightening how a virus can put the citizens in a position to be completely defenseless to the powers that be. A foreign army could not hope to be so successful at getting the people to just lay down.
DiBlahsio cannot stop Churches streaming live.
The larger churches do this already for those who are homebound.
An aside: A few churches in my area have ‘drive-in’ services; sit in your vehicle and tune in via FM.
If I didn’t know better, I’d swear that Mayor de BlahBlahBlah wants NYC to be ground zero for a possible CW2! The overreaction by the LSM and the bureaucrats nationwide are certainly throwing gas on the burning embers.
