Rumors of the actor’s alleged demise gained traction on Friday after a ‘R.I.P. Mel Gibson’ Facebook page attracted nearly one million of ‘likes’. Those who read the ‘About’ page were given a believable account of the American actor’s passing.

That mediamass website has a death hoax article for just about every major celebrity. For the past decade or so, I’ve seen it pop up at least once or twice a year on social media for a death hoax. In other words, don’t believe anything you read on it.
