That’s about as smart as the Los Angeles N-word.
I recall not long ago watching an old rerun of St Elsewhere, where Wayne Fiscus (Howie Mandel) pulls out the gun he carried concealed (illegally for protection in Boston) to show to a female colleague. He simply handed the gun to her, loaded and with the action (or revolver component) closed and that certainly struck me as a dangerous thing to do. These liberal types really do demonstrate their ignorance with actions like these and the one featured in the article.
This is demonstrably stupid and dangerous person. The kind of dip(t) the Dims make Red Flag laws over. He should maybe be in jail for attempted manslaughter. Geeze!
If I had been the camera guy I would have dropped the camera and beat the crap out of that reporter.
Yup-It’s official. All ‘journalists’ are morons!
I think it’s time for all ‘journalism’ graduates to ask for their money back.
Stupid is as stupid does . . .
Dumb thing to do, but I doubt this was a “smart gun” (it looks like a tommy gun, I don’t think they are retrofitting ancient guns like this with “smart” technology). I also highly doubt the weapon was loaded. They are in a gun shop, not at a range. There would be no reason for it to be loaded. It sounds like the hammer on the weapon does fall as well. So, yes, it was a violation of basic rules of gun safety, but it was not a case of “pointing a loaded weapon and pulling the trigger”.
WTF is a Drug Mag?
This reporter should face criminal charges. It is menacing at the least and maybe criminal negligence with a firearm depending on the jurisdiction.
Ban drug mags!!
as a side note, I watched the Vice News series about the Clinton Whitewater-Monical Lewinsky scandal.
It was generally pretty fair about discussing Clintons failures and crimes, although they did include a few perfunctory leftist caricatures of far right players, like Jerry Falwell. Monica admitted her stupidity in getting involved with Bill Clinton.
Otherwise, all the advertisements in between were for a clearly leftist market - HIV medicine being the most common.
I told my crew that we had a crazy guy with a gun. We “armed” ourselves with axes and took cover behind the fire engine. I called for police backup with my radio. About a minute later, the most incompetent lesbian super cop on the police department showed up. I knew her from recent incidents and it was a face palm moment when I saw who it was. About that time we saw the naked guy still holding his gun go out the back door of his house and enter through the side door of his garage. I thought maybe he was going to get into his car and try to get away.
Super cop still hadn't figured out what she should be doing when a police sergeant and half a dozen other cars showed up. We then heard naked armed crazy clown start up what sounded like a lawn mower in his garage. The sergeant asked me if that would kill him. I told him eventually, but it would take quite awhile. After a few minutes, he shut the mower down and we could hear coughing. The police sergeant used his cars PA speaker to tell him that he was surrounded and to come out with his hands up. The side door to the guys garage opened up and the naked guy came out with his hands up. We gave the police one of our yellow disposable blankets and they put him in the back of one of their cars.
The police went in and opened the two main garage doors to let it air out. When one of the officers removed the magazine from the pistol, he saw that the cartridges had been loaded into it backwards.
I don’t even allow my kids to point toys guns at people. Much less idiots like this pointing a real one at someone.
How many people have been shot by supposedly unloaded, unchambered, safety engaged, guns?
What a maroon!
Only two rules to avoid most “accidental” shootings.
They do not apply to justified INTENTIONAL shootings.
Rule number one:
NEVER point a gun at anyone.
Rule number two:
NEVER put your finger into the trigger guard or on the trigger.
ZERO tolerance for breaking either rule.
If either ONE is followed, everyone is safer.
If BOTH are followed, everyone is safe.
Wow. Just wow.
That reporter must have quite a rep now with the camera crews.
If I were that cameraman, that reporter would not have gone home safely that night.
Obviously the gun was smarter than the a$$hole!
I would have had him arrested for attempted murder. Then sue him for all he’s worth.
Yes but if nobody is willing to report the reporter under the Red Flag law ...
