How can you blame people for buying surgical masks when there is the potential of the disease spreading far and wide? If and when it does you won’t be able to find a surgical mask within a thousand miles of wherever you are.

1) Not all N95 masks are equal. Most are designed against non-biological agents, like dust and paint.

3) Bio specific N95 masks, if you buy in bulk, are one time use and about $5 each.
I remember when we had 4 cases of the Ebola Virus in the US, it was contained, but literally the entire country freaked out. Entire professional sports leagues were having their teams tested and treated to prevent it. Over 4 cases. . . . . People literally freak about everything.
I still have mine left over from a few years back. But I ordered a few anti-virus washable/reusable masks with carbon filter layers. Sent them to my kids. Along with ammo, so they can keep them.

they have cheap googles at the Dollar store and small bottles of 70% alcohol hand sanitizer for you guessed it, a dollar....alcohol will not go bad so these can last you for many yrs if we don't hopefully need them right away....

What about the eyes? Viruses can get into your eye-ducts.

Being from Chicago, and immune suppressed, I’ve been staying inside as often as possible. I’m also ready to break out the gas mask, but mostly for giggles.
The look on people’s faces; it’d be too precious.
