I understand the difficulty. The bottom line is that the entire management level of the FBI and the DOJ is totally rotten. Essentially Barr would be left with no one to manage the DOJ.

I think President Trump and Barr will make their move shortly after the first of the year but it will not be easy.
Also there will be many court cases challenging his actions in terminating the guilty so it best wait until his judicial appointees are seated and ready to go to work.

FedGov needs to be decentralized from DC. Each department should be shipped into a different blighted area of the country. The remaining DC real estate should be sold and the resulting income paid directly against the debt. There is NO reason suburban VA and MD exclusively, should benefit from the concentration of government spending on salaries and contractors.
