They definitely can’t pin slavery on the Asians (or the Latinos, for that matter), but I think the hatred stems more from watching both of those groups arrive here and quickly pass blacks on the way up the socio-economic ladder. Basically, they show them up - show them how to get ahead, and the race hustlers use greed and envy to stir up the gibsmedats.

Yeah such blanket statements are at times exaggerations.
I left my son’s place at carter creek pike last night at 12:30. Could easily have been later, because we had started knocking out a wall at midday. Neither of us is experienced at such things. He watched several videos, but he wanted to keep the ceiling as high as possible. Being far more experienced in steel than wood laminate beams, I found a 1/4” x 3” x 5” x 20’ rectangular tube, made the end pillars out of more tube.
The trick was making sure the ceiling didn’t end up on the floor. And we were faced with the possibility of being up all night, if that’s what it was going to take. The drive back home was actually relaxing after that effort, and I thought of the farmhouses in IL that I grew up in, and lived in for 62 yrs, until moving to TN. Of those 7 homes, none ever had a wall taken out, and nobody seemed to mind living in them like that.
One 2004 late night in Louisville, I was trucking towards a delivery in a ‘marginal’ part of town, made a wrong turn and was soon driving through a less comfortable part of town. A fellow stepped out into the middle of the street and waved his arms. Knowing the distance I needed to stop, I knew I had a couple of seconds to play with. So I mashed the throttle (no don’t use the air horn. You want the full effect of the truck powering up and the driver not slowing down for anything). He stepped aside (good choice), because I had reached the point where I was going to have to stand on the brakes.
I’ve slept in the truck on both Chicago’s south and west sides. I don’t anymore.
To make Truth’s statement more accurate: There are PLACES where nothing good can happen at 3am.
