I'm worried that something like the operation discussed in this very short story might actually happen in the run-up to the 2020 election.

Exposing the concept in advance may or may not prevent it from happening, but if something like it does happen, I hope people will see through the false narrative and ask themselves, "who benefits?"

A plot as simple as this could actually work, and that's my fear, and my motivation to write this story.

Needless to say, it could trigger Civil War Two.

Consider the vast amount of this country’s wealth that has been skimmed by certain individuals or wealth directed to special interest groups. Now, consider that lives have no value to these people. The folks are capable of anything.
