windmills are also killing birds especially protected birds , and rare birds and still the left keeps their religion.
I told a story here the other day. About 10 years ago a nesting pair of bald eagles moved into the area around our local lake. They have bred and produced successive generations. About two weeks ago an adolescent eagle was found injured near the lake and subsequently died. Everyone is running around with their hair on fire trying to figure out how the eagle came to be injured. Seriously it’s a big thing. None of these geniuses looked over their shoulder at the giant wind farm that went up two years ago. really it’s a mystery how this happened.
On top of that the wind farm was permitted on a “pristine ridgeline” despite a 50 year moratorium on ridgeline development. Additionally the development took place in the largest upland Beech stand in New England. For those unaware a Beech stand is basically one living thing like western poplar. The forage for wildlife a stand like this produces would boggle you mind. But because this is the left’s religion all the environmental protections were suspended.
I can’t even relate to you what this means and my anger at the left for suspending regulations for their pet while grinding the rest of us to dust to get permits.
Now they are building two new big photovoltaic farms in my town. We get maybe 9 hrs of daylight in winter months, last winter we went 7 solid weeks with no break in the overcast. It’s totally asinine
The bats the windmills kill go uncounted, but the estimate is the kill is far higher than for birds ... bats eat flying insects like gnats, mosquitoes, various flies, and other disease carrying critters.
