Of all the things that YouTube does that irritates YouTubers the most, one of the worst is the way they shove Legacy Media channels down our throats. It's like they are flooding the zone of the search results on anything that is in the news with Legacy Media at the expense of YouTubers. Sort of like using Legacy Media as a cloaking device to shield YouTubers from each other.
The solution to this is to set up a Legacy Media filter in their search function. That way, people who really do want to see Legacy Media coverage can simply click "Legacy Media" (or whatever YouTube wants to call it) in the Features section of the Search Filter. At the same time YouTube needs to change their algorithms to stop giving priority to Legacy Media in the regular search. After all it is called YouTube which should emphasize the "YOU" not the "Them" of the Legacy Media.
Taking this step would go a looooooong way for YouTube to re establish good relations with YouTubers and end the hostility caused by their algorithms now being used to kill the channels of YouTubers ("YOU") by giving top priority in the search results to the Legacy Media ("Them").
PING!
You make that sound like a bad thing.
Somehow I KNEW would weigh in on this.
I’d never just leave you hangin’ bro.
As you know, some people are a lot easier to endure if one understands it’s not their fault; they were born that way, with their rectal apertures turned inside-out
Isn't that kind of like what I do to bloggers? Exactly like it, in fact?
I guess we could be brothers. Twins.
Congratulations.
Nope; usually just here, because P-J Comix is a popular poster to follow on freerepublic. I read all his posts, and it just so happens, there you are yourself.....
I'm sorry you consider yourself a follower.
I read all his posts
Clearly. That's a bit creepy.
Duh.
He's practically royalty then.
