I go over the first 2 chapters of The Koran, explaining their historical and scriptural errors, and how Islam can not be reconciled with a belief in the Living God. Also, respond to fallacious Muslim apologetics.

- Did Muhammad Ever Really Live? by Perdogg -- "A number of Islamic associations have put a quick end to their collaboration with a professor -- and trainer of people who are supposed to teach Islam in German high schools -- who has expressed his doubt that Muhammad ever lived. Islam scholar Michael Marx spoke with SPIEGEL ONLINE about what lies behind the debate and the historical person of the Prophet." [2008]
- Zul-Qarnain - What is the argument?by Jochen Katz (not on FR) -- [snip]I have never claimed that Zul-Qarnain *is* the historical Alexander the Great. I don't know why your move to agree with me in this is considered a rebuttal... The argument is then that the Qur'anic story is clearly taken from the legends about Alexander. There are many many details of the Qur'an account which are nearly verbatim to be found in the Alexander legends. Conclusion: Zul-Qarnain clearly is the Alexander the Great of the legend stories. And because the Qur'an presents the material from the legends as if this were history, it shows that Muhammad could not distinguish between legends and history when he incorporated this material in the Qur'an. This is evidence that the Qur'an is not of divine origin.[/snip]

I love this series. My favorite was the one where Mohammed meets Trump.

They are extremely rare. Islam believes that the Koran can only be read in original Arabic. I have read it in Farsi and have read some of it in English but both translations were “unofficial”.

Not comparing them to each other, but its very similar to KJV-only Christians. Asinine, on both counts.

Indeed. Have you seen how seriously Moslem’s take their dogma? The fight between Sunni and Shia has been going on since Mohammed died. And their disagreement is over who should succeed Mohammed.

Farsi and have read some of it in English but both translations were unofficial.

Try finding a copy of the Penguin Classics edition of the Koran, by N.J. Darwood, published in 1995 or earlier. My copy has
this cover on it. It is known that there was a effort to "sanitize" the Koran online and in print after 9/11, so look for versions published before 2001.

He SHOULD be kicked off Youtube.
Do you like people that think they are smarter than you?
Should such people profit from pretending they are better than you?

The M.H. shakir translation I'm currently using is pretty bowdlerized. For example, instead of translating "God is the best of deceivers," it states, "God is the best of planners."
That's the problem you'll find in Western published, English language Korans. Particularly when they're published by some Muslim Brotherhood, Tabligi Jammaat or other Dawah-focused organization-as my copy was.

Right, and both arguments are pretty much moot at this point since both of those caliphates collapsed long ago.
To: vpintheak
No, it is not necessarily asinine. For many, it has to do with leftist Higher Criticism, the Textus Receptus (Received Text), and the suspect scholars, Westcott and Hort. (Here is a hint: Their texts were not received when written.)

Robert Spencer has a fantastic book questioning the documentation, such as it is, of Mohammed’s existence.

Political Islam is a great channel on YT that delves into the destructiveness of this book and dogma as well.
