"Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few." Winston Churchill
As we do on this day each year, we pause to remember the men and women who died fighting for our freedom.
We stand by humbly, gratefully, silently, to honor their sacrifice.
We remember
We mourn for those lost
And we mourn for those theyve left behind
As we reflect once again on the the steep price of freedom.
By all means, enjoy your picnics, parades and celebrations today it is a holiday after all. But do pause to remember and honor all the brave Americans across the centuries who have sacrificed their lives in the fight against tyrants, tyrannies and terrorists.
These enemies of freedom will always be in our midst and will always be a threat to liberty. God willing, America will always be there to vanquish freedoms adversaries.
Above all, we must realize that no arsenal or no weapon in the arsenals of the world is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today's world do not have. It is a weapon that we as Americans do have. Let that be understood by those who practice terrorism and prey upon their neighbors. - Ronald Reagan, First Inaugural Address, 1981

Wishing you all a tranquil, thoughtful Memorial Day.
And remember, you are now free to move about the country in white shoes or go barefoot.

"on this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes--and I see many of them in the audience here today."
Yes, but there's something wrong with the image resolution of the boy with the flag, and the young wife at the grave. For some reason they are blurry on my screen.
Father in Heaven, help us to be worthy of these heroes’ sacrifice.
Amen.
I will remember him and his putrid wife for their "All this for a damn flag?" sentiments.
I, for one, won't sully this thread further with HIS memory. I know of a far more fitting man to honor with our comments.

These are buddies that my son has lost.
God Bless our veterans. Without The Brave there is no Land Of The Free.
