Tynes first privately approached the worker about eating on the train and the worker gave her the typical surly DC Metro worker attitude. It was after that that she posted the shocking photo and pinged Metro.
The 'woke' progressive online mob turned this into a race war rather than what it was: a surly scofflaw employee.
Depends on the rule.
Depends on the people.
There was a time folks led by example - especially those who are paid by the public.
Maybe. A long, long, long time ago, when workers could take pride in their bus or subway uniform.
Nowadays, transit workers know that they are little people, and eating on the job is one way of getting back at the big people.
Nobody relies on them to set an example.
Its an SJW swarm. They attack and destroy for fun and then move on to their next target. Nothing personal. It just makes them feel a little better about themselves. In some cases, they have left suicides in their wakes and theyre perfectly okay with that. Gleeful, in fact.
Evidently, two days prior, the Metro sent out a memo saying to no longer ticket for eating, and other violations. The Metro as well as the Union says the employee was well within her rights to eat breakfast, or lunch or whatever where she sat.
Hey, the Metro is sticking with her...that’s a rarity, isn’t it?
5D chess?
Nobody deserves to lose their livelihood just for being a jerk.
METRO is very tough on passengers eating or drinking on the train or in the station, for good reasons. METRO employees should be held to the same standards.
Tynes is repulsive. An Arab who calls herself a “person of color” and writes leftist filth.
In the old days, if the woman had an issue with an employee, she’d call into the complaint line and, as post #25 says, would likely be told of the change in policy towards eating on the train. The woman would feel foolish for calling, but everyone would remain anonymous and that would be that - on with the day. Those on social media expect instant feedback, like we expect instant search results. Not always smart. Just as the folks labeling the woman ‘racist’ because her Jordanian skin tone is lighter than the employee’s weren’t the brightest bulbs in the room in their own rush to virtue-signal.
