Amputated tail. Poor critter.
Life is odd. Wouldn’t have taken a cat if I was offered money before my head injury.
While I was in the hospital mom and girlfriend got me a kitten (I guess you can’t die once someone buys you a kitten lol).
That was 11 plus years ago and he was my best friend through five years of recovering.
I’m no activist, but someone would be in a heap of trouble if they intentionally hurt Spaghetti.

She is a sweet little girl and lucky to have been found. Kudos to the kind soul who saved her. I can’t abide people who do such horrible things to helpless animals. God’s creature the same as anyone of us. But not like my cat. Last night my cat told me he didn’t want to be called a cat anymore. He said from now on he wanted to known as a ‘’Feline-American’’.

The wife and I have seven. All rescued from the outside or from shelters. Spayed and neutered and given their shots. Had others. They got old and sick and to be put down, That's always hard. Five years ago it was my boy Scooter. He was a beautiful cat. Stocky white chest, powerful fore arms, black and gray stripes. He was tough. Raised him from a kitten. Within the first few weeks I'd realized I had an aggressive one on my hands, a hunter. Best darn mouser I ever saw. Got five of the critters. We live on the outskirts of The New Jersey Pine Barrens with a pretty big piece of property. My boy got them though, rabbits too. He was something. Miss him.

Thanks. Yeah, we've got everything here. I've a deer run through once and a while. Two years ago there was a Tom turkey and a couple of hens took up shop. They'd hang out in the woods and then come out and stroll through the development. We would leave cracked corn for them, they like that but after a while they moved on. People think New Jersey is what they see on “The Sopranos''. It's not. Northern NJ looks like Upstate New York in the Catskills. Southern NJ looks like the backwoods of the Carolina's, plenty of horse farms, and hunters. Lots of deer to shoot here, and then there's the Shore. You'd think you were in Florida.

I’m on staten island and had more than a few shore houses with buddies in my youth :)
Been to AC a few hundred times.
Love Egg Harbor and that whole area.
Sisters live in Hazlet and Middletown.
Take 80W to PA and love the scenery in NJ on the way.

I think that’s the first real food I had after I got home and what the heck, I’m Italian, so I went with Spaghetti.
It was before I became a bigger fan of Angel Hair pasta.
Angel Hair would have been a very cool name.

The marina where we bought our boat motor has a cat called “Lucky”. It has no ears or tail as they were frozen off. It was a tamed feral cat.
Feral cats do not live long up here, if winter does not get them, coyotes will.
The easiest way to tame one is to find one half frozen like the article, bring it inside and feed it. They will be your buddy for life.
We tamed a little black one and named him Spooky. When we went outside we could here him crashing through the woods running towards us. He’d come flying at us, put on the brakes, skid to a stop, lay on his back and want a belly rub. But he would not let us hold him.
Coyotes finally got him.

We have six we’ve rescued, and had eight at one time. All inside and spoiled.

Damn coyotes. Now that I’m semi-retired I’ll be sniping them every chance I get.

I can double confirm that NJ is a very beautiful state, and some of the nicest people live there. You, my FRiend, are a fortunate man.

My friend has seven Bassett hounds that had issues so she adopts them, even old ones , so they dont have to die in a shelter. Her only regret is that they tie her down and its impossible to travel with her husband. One has to stay to take care of the hounds.
