Full title: Joe Scarborough: Barr Will Never Get His Reputation Back, "Bizarre" That Presidents Pick Their Own Attorney General

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough continued his criticism of Attorney General William Barr on Thursday morning's edition of "Morning Joe," saying that Barr's behavior with regard to the Mueller report may make him "the person responsible for a change in the way we choose our attorney generals."

"It seems bizarre at this point that a president should be able to select their own attorney general," Scarborough said. "Who can decide how the investigations are run against them, who can decide which political enemies gets prosecuted, who can decide which political allies don't get prosecuted, can decide what corporations don't get prosecuted. I mean, the fact that -- I mean, Donald Trump has shown us actually a flaw, a significant flaw in our constitutional system of checks and balances. This is not the way America is supposed to run."

Never heard this brought up with Janet Reno or Eric Holder. Next thing they’ll be whining about is DJT living in the White House and flying in Air Force One. They never tire of looking foolish.

Apparently Joe was not concerned about this when the Obama Justice Department was investigating the presumptive Democrat nominee, Hillary Clinton.

He also apparently missed the part where Trump's Attorney General appointed a Special Counsel to allay the exact concerns Joe raised in that statement.

The lack of awareness on display in that statement is truly bizarre.

a flaw, a significant flaw in our constitutional system of checks and balances. This is not the way America is supposed to run."

The U.S. Constitution says Congress will hold "all legislative powers" of government. While the Constitution does not explicitly grant Congress the right to carry out investigations, the founding fathers envisioned lawmakers investigating matters as part of their responsibility to legislate and courts have long upheld that role.

Deliverance Joe is the only former “conservative” republican I can remember in my life that has went full blown liberal democrat. It’s impossible if you’re not a fake and fraud to start with and that’s exactly what that inbred SOB is. I feel like throwing up every time I see this clueless puke.

Poor PsychoJoe. Doesn’t seem to realize that George Washington set this up for a reason-—so that fascist wannabes like PsychoJoe would never distort the law.

What an idiot. The Framers designed a Republic with three branches of government, not four or more. The Justice Department and the FBI’s actions in all of this, AND under Hoover, demonstrate the dangers of rogue agencies.

Exactly. Prosecuting or not prosecuting the President is the least part of the AG’s job in all minds but the terminally trump deranged.
This is Joe’s take on the new normal, all of the Nation’s business is second fiddle to the attempt to overthrow the elected Government or to keep the Left in power.

Janet Reno was horrible and extremely partisan as AG, but I always thought she took the responsibility for the decision to attack at Waco to shield Bill and Hillary. Most likely Hillary was the one who really made the call.

indeed. The DOJ and FBI are the political brain of Fed.gov

Presidents should have true loyalists as AGs

Why Trump started with Sessions is beyond me.

Bizarre that an MSNBC media director would pick Joe Scarborough.

Kasich and Songbird were always RINOs. When Delivarance Joe was a Republican member of Congress he was elected as a conservative, not a “cross the isle” RINO.

What’s bizarre is that those two are still on television. Who watches that garbage?

They are extremely painful to watch. Sometimes Hannity or Ingram plays a clip of those two and I wince at the sight of them. They are physically detestable, and when they speak it’s detestable times a million.

Yes, I always thought a group of high school seniors should choose our AGs.
