This is totally not some kind of PR-arranged beard date, this is real!
During a Wednesday appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, Katie Couric revealed that "a long time ago" she and the New Jersey politician went on a blind date together at a New York Giants game. "Wow, this just in!" she playfully exclaimed as the audience reacted with surprise.
"He was really nice," Couric, 62, said of Booker, 49.
"Did we kiss?" she said. "No, we did not kiss."
Oh, this "date" happened at a highly public event (a Giants game) which is certain to get photographed and publicized all over the tabloids?
70,000 live witnesses, millions of tv witnesses if the cameras broadcast a shot of the couple? And a division of professional photographers armed with a mile of film?
Yeah, that's usually the sort of blind dates I go on, too.
Also, single eligible men always date women who are very nearly old enough to be their mothers, or at least their a-few-years-younger-than-mother aunt.
Coming Soon: The Fiercely Heterosexual Cory Booker's little black book is filled with the names of famous female conquests, like Elizabeth Taylor and Liza Manelli and Cher and Mae West.
