You can forget using top down economic models for predicting today’s presidential elections which are based on electoral votes in a handful of key states. Many states like CA and NY are absolute locks for the dems. Many are fairly safe for the pubs. It comes down to the battleground states.

The major reason the economy might slow markedly is because investors might come to believe that there’s even the slightest realistic chance that a Democrat could win the presidency next year. In which case, markets would start to crumble, and the economy would soon follow.

So many still don’t get that he is so hated because he really represents us. It is us they hate, our way of life, the country and lifestyle we cherish, what we stand for. They had no problem with Trump until he ran for President. The reason they hated him then is they knew if he got elected he would do his best to do as he promised. He is not one of them, and they knew he would not go along with the agenda. We are in the way of their agenda and that is why they hate us, he is just our representative.
Trump's running on stopping the invasion from the South... securing our borders. The economy is backdrop and an ongoing concern, but it's not what he's running on.
