Yesterday we posted a video of Leen confronting Chelsea Clinton at a vigil for the victims of the white supremacist New Zealand mosque massacre. Today, we woke up to over 100,000 people talking about it on Twitter. Needless to say, this is not what we expected.
We went to the vigil for one reason: to grieve the loss of innocent lives that were stolen from this world by vile hatred. We wanted to join our friends and colleagues in a time of heartbreak and agony, to remember the 49 Muslims who were murdered for being Muslim. As a Jewish American-Israeli and a Palestinian Muslim, we understand far too well the consequences of anti-Semitism, anti-Muslim bigotry, and white supremacy. And as activists who are unafraid to speak the truth, we know we have a duty to call out any bigotry wherever it exists.

We did a double take when we first noticed Chelsea Clinton was at the vigil. Just weeks before this tragedy, we bore witness to a bigoted, anti-Muslim mob coming after Rep. Ilhan Omar for speaking the truth about the massive influence of the Israel lobby in this country.
/src on/Jews hypnotizing the world with benjamins.
The Israeli lobby is SO STRONG here that we have thousands of troops stationed in Israel.
That’s sarcasm.
I guess SK and W European lobbyists have more clout. And Japanese.
Those muslim youngins going to spring break?
Yet does Buttfeed agonize over the hundreds of Christians killed this month in various countries?
Hmmmm... I wonder why the media never talks about muslim supremacy..?
These are just bad, bad people. They remind me of the SA. It didn’t end well for Germany and won’t end well for us. (Unless something is done.)
"I have no obligation to remain silent in the face of your antisemitism."
"To pretend that calling you out motivated other hate is a phony defense for your bad behavior."
It appears that the author has somehow conflated “anti-Muslim” with “anti-Semitic”, and conjoined both in the fight against “white supremacy”, a stand they think is a worthwhile fight and hill to die upon.
A couple of fallacies here. The first of which is, to IGNORE the fact that some of these rants by Muslims, notably and particularly Representative Ilhan Omar, were EXTREMELY anti-Semitic, and laced with every stereotype ever made up about the Jewish people, and especially Israel. Secondly, to call her on the carpet is anti-Muslim? Calling out hatred is supposed to be a morally right position, is it not? Or who sets the rules of engagement here?
Now, I do not wish to imply that I am in any way defending Chelsea Clinton, who, goodness knows, has plenty of her own lapses to account and atone for, but “white supremacy” is not one of those personal traits.
I am unable to follow the logic of this connection.
Both authors should be deported.
“”anti-Muslim mob coming after Rep. Ilhan Omar “”
Really? Were we all asleep when that took place? I sure didn’t see ANY MOB. I saw people exercising their right to speak. The right that these two “activists” seem to think belongs to them.
(See, Chelsea? We're always fair about all this kind of stuff all the time here on our side.)
“”to grieve the loss of innocent lives that were stolen from this world by vile hatred””
Right - and our way of showing that was by getting in Chelsea’s face in the name of LOVE! It was so apparent - why couldn’t we see it? I thought I saw “vile hatred” but I must have been hallucinating!
“”have no, nada, zero concern about anti-semitism””
You’re not supposed to have noticed that. They are ill behaved persons of dubious parentage - maybe one has a Jewish name? So what does that prove?
Here is her bio (at source)...
Rose Asaf is a senior at New York University where she studies Comparative Politics and American Studies. She is an Israeli-American Jewish woman, and she co-founded the Jewish Voice for Peace chapter at NYU.
In the finest traditions of George Soros who really hates the State of Israel as it is a standing rebuke for his actions during the Holocaust.
She’s crazy
So to owner mass shootings, nobody must ever criticize anything a moslem politician says.
Yeah, sure.
So, not being an anti-Semite makes you an islamophobe. Gotcha.
