THE VILLAGES, Fla. (FOX 35 Orlando) - A "Make America Great Again" flag is causing some controversy in a Florida retirement community.
At The Villages, a resident proudly displays the pro-President Donald Trump flag in their yard, right below the American flag. A neighbor, who goes by the name Colonel, says he likes it.
"Mr. Trump is our president. We should be supporting our president. Whomever the president is. I supported the previous president and all the others regardless of party." he said.

i don’t recall one instance of an obummer supporter getting assaulted.
In eight years.
Don’t even recall them getting yelled at.
So much for “progressive” tolerance.
This is going to be interesting. The HOA will definitely be getting involved. I think he will win. The Villages are very Republican. I live 10 miles from them. It is a great place to visit for sure but it is rather expensive to live there. Rich Boomers live there. Us Gen X are a bit young but doubt will have the incredible wealth the boomers have.
Its funny how kids are wearing MAGA caps and old people are complaining about Trump flags.
The geezer village that reportedly has the highest level of STD infections in the USA, and granny is worried about a flag?
BFD, grandma.
The HOA says it’s freedom of speech and any political party’s banner is welcome.
I’d bet there are some Rainbow/gay flags flying there and no one has complained.
My husbands step mother lives in The Villages. She immigrated here in the 1950’s from Germany. She LOVES Trump. I’m going to have to call her tomorrow and find out if the flag is hers lol.
Anywhere else for sure, but not the Villages.

That’s an urban myth.
In the old days it wouldve been called free speech. Now free speech means attacking America or supporting a Democrat.
I live in a retirement community in the Villages area, have been to several different communities and have never, ever seen a rainbow flag.
Hell I might just join to fly the Confederate flag.
Just to piss these pukes off!
Cool. That is good news. I know my HOA made a guy a half mile from me take down his confederate flag. Our HOA rules only allow for American Flag and that is it. Which is nice not to have a flag from every country in the world all over the neighborhood. I have seen some neighborhoods and you had everything from Irish, Britain, Puerto Rican, Italian and on and on. Nope just American Flag here thank goodness.
I looked into moving there and you’re right it’s solid Republican.
“A spokesperson from The Villages Community Development District said the flag doesn’t violate any rules and can be flown from any political party. But complaints have been lodged. Colonel says it’s about freedom of speech.”
From the article, it appears that some left wing female snake objects, but won’t show her commie face.
OK. Nothing wrong with a coward who wants to hide.
In the meantime, the representative says no rules have been broken and freedom of speech is AOK.
Unless the commie bitch wants to present herself on the battlefield for a fight to the death, everyone should carry on, relax and enjoy.
I agree. I have not seen one either. I think that poster was being sarcastic.
This is what the mediaVOMITS and Sessions have done to this nation!! The enemy within our walls!! Yes..I do mean Sessions!!!
Not many houses have flag poles as such, but those that do seldom fly anything other than the Stars and Stripes. We do have yard lamps for each home with flag holder attachments that may have foreign flags, sports flags, vanity flags, and US flags on them. I’d put a Trump banner there if I had one.
You will love it. They are building like crazy. I live 10 miles from the Villages and now I will be extremely close to them......they are building South by a large amount. I am cool with it as long as they bring in some new restaurants and some decent stores. Where I live is a drive to get to anything other then Publix and Winn Dixie...otherwise it’s a 30 minute drive.
